Always on my mind....

When I think of my my father dancing I smile so hard my face hurts. He really did dance like George Jefferson! I miss him....

Thinking of You (modified)
Tell me daddy is your life a better change?
And tell me daddy
Would you live your life the same
Or come back and rearrange?
Tell me daddy how is freedom?
Oh I'm thinking of you
And all the things that you wanted me to be
And I'm trying now

Tell me daddy
Are the colors deeper shades?
And tell me daddy
Are there great big brass parades?
Does the sun shine night and day?
Tell me daddy no more sleeping
Tell me daddy no more weeping

I'm thinking of you
And all the things that you wanted me to be
And I'm trying now

Hey Tell me daddy is it just the way they say?
Tell me daddy
And tell me daddy are you missing me the way
That I'm missing you today?
Tell me daddy can you hear me?
Oh I'm thinking of you
And all the things that you wanted me to be
And I'm trying now
Oh I'm thinking of you
Thinking of you ....

Too funny. I loved George's dance, it was so funky. My Dad did something called the "Oak Tree" well, that's what we called it anyway. He held his hands above his head in an odd way, and only his feet moved. When the music came on we would always say, "Watch out, Daddy's doing the Oak Tree, move the coffee table."
